Dr Moon Baik

Dr Moon who is our principal dentist, was born in South Korea and moved to Brisbane in 2002 just after he finished high school. He studied dentistry in Brisbane and graduated from the University of Queensland in 2010, then lived in Townsville for a little while before moving to Charters Towers in 2011. He worked at the Charters Towers hospital dental clinic until the middle of 2019 when he opened Towers Family Dental.

In his spare time, Dr Moon enjoys helping with cattle work, spending time with his wife Dayna and loves travelling. He is also the major sponsor of the Charters Towers Miners Women’s rugby team and enjoys going to Bill Lewis oval to watch the home games.

Dr Cheyenne Bethel

Dr Cheyenne is a local girl who is very excited to be practising in her hometown. She graduated from high school in 2014, and deferred university to have a gap year in 2015, working as a dental assistant which she loved!
Dr Bethel then studied dentistry at James Cook University in Cairns and graduated in 2020. She was just 12 years old when she decided that she wanted to become a dentist! She loves helping people and loves to see people smile.

Outside of work, Dr Chey enjoys spending time with family and friends, water skiing, fishing, and being with her dog, Boston.

Dr Seonja Kwon

BDS JCU
Dr Seonja was born in South Korea, and before moving to Australia in 2009, she had spent a few years living in Russia and Alaska. She studied dentistry in Cairns and has called Charters Towers home since 2022.

If she ever gets any spare time after work, Dr Seonja is a keen archery player, and she tells us that she is training for the 2032 Olympics! She loves food and is a great cook, who also enjoys eating out at good restaurants.

Sarah

Sarah is a local girl who grew up on her parents’ cattle station and went to boarding school in Charters Towers. Sarah has been working as a dental assistant since 2011 and completed her certificate III in dental assisting in 2012. She then did her certificate IV in dental radiography in 2015, and recently upgraded her license by doing a course to allow her to take 3D dental x-rays. She loves working as a team in the dental clinic by helping patients have the most comfortable experience possible.

Outside of work, Sarah loves spending time with her husband Brent and daughter Amelia. She also really enjoys gardening and cooking.

Linda

Linda started working as a dental assistant in Sydney in the year 2000. She then spent five years working in London, UK, with one of the top Root Canal Specialists (Endodontist) before returning to Sydney to continue working in the dental industry.

Linda moved to Charters Towers in 2012 and has competed her certificate III in dental assisting and certificate IV in dental radiography. 

During her time off Linda loves reading, helping her husband Harvey with his horse training business and playing with her dog Daisey.  

Abby

Abby has been a Charters Towers local all her life. She graduated from Charters Towers State High School in 2014 and worked at McDonald's until starting her career as a dental assistant in 2016.

Abby obtained her Certificate III in dental assisting in 2018 and continues to expand her knowledge daily. Abby feels very passionate about dental assisting and likes to ensure patients who come into the dental practice have a great experience.

Outside of work Abby is interested in music and art, always painting or drawing and playing her musical instruments. She enjoys spending time with her partner Michael and their 2 cats, Raven and Chester. Abby hopes to one day fulfil her dream of living and working in Canada.
